| After hand-beating twelve egg whites, the guest house's oven was too hot. Burnt on the outside, raw in the middle. Bummer! But, we salvaged a few nice slices around the outer 1/3. |

| The whipping cream for the icing must have had a rough trip on the local roads because it was already turned to butter so there was no whipping left to do! We made a butter milk drizzle to go with the chocolate chip and melted marshmallow drizzle. Happy Birthday Doug (tomorrow). |

Oh,Laugh, Laugh!! we were laughing. This cake has been the bday cake from time immemorial for Doug and his family and so a few adventures just adds to the history.
