Hiatus

Now, we are on a round-the-world trip hiatus due to Cancer rearing its ugly head in the life of my older sister as well as, my Father.  D's mother also has rather suddenly undergone open heart surgery. So, we have cut short our trip in South Africa and instead of heading to Italy for a work exchange on a farm, we headed back to the States. We are planning to spend time with each of our family members who are suffering in attempt to be present and support and as time continues and more information arrives, we will decide whether we can pick up our journey, skipping much of the planned section in Europe.

We'd very much appreciate any prayers you share with us over this time. We'll keep you posted.  God is good and we've seen evidence of his orchestration of things beyond our control as well as, his blessings and good gifts.

This weekend we are celebrating a wedding for my youngest sister. It is so wonderful to have something excellent to celebrate in the midst of a lot of things that threaten to pull us down.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Praying for strength and peace. Isaiah 53 reminds us that Jesus is familiar with our sufferings and takes up our infirmities, caring for our sorrows.
    Love you much!
