What's Growing?

This post is dedicated to my dear family that all love to have something growing, whether it be in the window, on the porch, down in some remote corner of the yard, be it a volunteer tomato, a transplanted wildflower from the side of the road, or a tree. So, bear with me as I show you a few of the things we've got growing around here.

Our garden is taking shape. The small praire that our yard has become you can get a sense for on the far side of the garden. In some places it is shoulder high on me!

A volunteer squash that came up on the edge of our garden. It looks like it may be a butternut .

Here are some kale. This is the ubiquitous Sukuma Wiki of Kenya. Because everyone eats it around here, you find it being grown everywhere there is a small corner, along the road or next to the shop.
