After our Kenya team meeting we took an extra day to walk in the Kakamega forest and watch the wildlife.

We stayed in a rustic room on stilts looking out into the forest.

It was wonderful to be in a place with so much rain and green.

The builder came and opened the roof of our house to clean out all the bat guano. 

They replaced 6 panels with clear sheets to add light.

They removed 30 or 40 kilos of bat guano.

We had a mess to clean up inside in our pantry.

Doug's the one who cooks interesting things these days- for each of our specific diets! delicious.

A little fun with cement. Doug made a pad for the big water tank, complete with a pad for the bucket to sit on.

The passion vine that I nurture and am training to climb as I want. Currently has about 7 fruit.

The tomatoes are loaded and the birds were having a hay-day. But hopefully this will help.

We celebrate all the fruits of our garden- here is a tomatillo.

We had a little trip to the Mt Suswa lava tube caves. This is an as yet un-studied ancient wall painting. It was pretty cool to see this inside the cave.

We got to walk to the edge of the double crater. Its a spectacular place.

Here we are at our friends' in Nairobi enjoying a gift box from home. What a highlight!!!!! We are so blessed.

Doug never tires of capturing the sunsets on the camera. This is the current favorite.
