Rain

It rains every day now. We talk a lot about rainy season. But its such a big deal here. It means that the cows start producing lots of milk and everything turns from brown dust to green. Travel becomes even more challenging. Gauging when the rivers will be passable becomes a big guessing game and we often don't get it right and have to turn around or wait for a few hours, watching the flood. The roads sometimes become completely impassable for a while due to washouts. Whole weeks can whiz by in a whir of  delays and changed plans due to floods and storms.  This picture was taken by Doug one evening as he was watching a storm move away from us to the west.
