Memories of Dad

In memory of Dad,
his humour and playfulness,

his ability to treat people with great dignity,
his love of simple living, trees, garden, woods,
his love of his family,

his undying love for his wife,
his love of connecting to people,
his love and support of me,
his committment to marriage and faithfulness,
his courage and authenticity together with his wife in fighting cancer for 11.5 yrs,
his determination to keep on living,

his ability to care for others in his dying days,
and all this because of God's love in him.  His was a victorious crossing of the finish line into complete satisfaction, no more pain, and freedom from starving and suffering, on
July 6, 2013.
My Dad was beloved of whole communities.

  4. This is a beautiful post cousin! Just as your family were in my thoughts and prayers last year at this time, you all have been again. Your dad was truly an incredible man and I was blessed to have him as an uncle. - Abby
