Family Visits Pre Departure

For the last two weeks we've visited my (Corinna's) family in Illinois, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. It was such a treat to see all 4 of my siblings, their spouses and kids, especially the two newest babies.
My older sister and her youngest son.
Niece in the prairie

Hanging with the nephew.

We knotted a comforter that my mom made. We are taking it for a potential gift for the leader of the village we'll be part of in Kenya.

Almost everyone in the family- missing my older sister and her family in Illinois.

This niece's eyes are like rising suns!

My brother and his pride and joy son.

Our niece that sings.

New niece.

Keeping warm, hanging out with my sister, her two girls and my mom.

We got one decent snow before leaving- 4-6 inches- Doug got in on the plowing action in PA.

Mom and Dad dropped us off at MCC for our orientation yesterday.  It was  tough to say goodbye since they're dealing with chemo for cancer and the effects of metastatic disease.
Today we are transitioning to our next step: 2 weeks of orientation before we fly to Kenya.

  1. You captured the goodbyes so well that I felt like I was the one leaving. Hoping to see you on the 29th!

  2. What a lovely series of pictures of your visit! It's fun to see AC wearing my favorite onesie that both N-boy and Baby Bro wore!
